ENGINEERING MANAGER

Job description:

We are an energetic, fast-paced and growth-orientated Midwest manufacturing company seeking a senior level battery engineer specializing in custom battery pack design and manufacturing. We are looking for this high profile position to expand on their expertise on a variety of primary and secondary battery technologies (i.e. Li-on, Li polymer, Nimh, Nicad, alkaline etc…) Familiarity with battery protection circuits and circuit design, as well as total battery pack assembly is a must.

Must be highly motivated and able to work independently, as well as interface with production, and quality control.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains critical technical relationships with customers, sales team and manufacturing personnel.
  • Lead engineering team by setting priorities and completing objectives.
  • Hands on attitude with the ability to identify, clarify, implement battery technologies within a variety of applications.
  • Formulates and reviews test procedures.
  • Prepares all necessary paperwork and documentation for all projects.
  • Performs process and product certifications.
  • Works well within ISO 9000 standards.
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing to insure successful product transition from design concepts to production.

Qualifications:

  • Four year degree in related technical discipline.
  • 8+ years of industry experience required.
  • Complete knowledge of all major chemistries.
  • Complete knowledge of battery protection circuits and circuit design.
  • Strong communications and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated computer skills as required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.

NATIONAL SALES MANAGER

Job description:

Fast growing battery manufacturer/distributor located in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago, IL is currently seeking a National Sales Manager. We are looking for an innovative, versatile and bottom line orientated executive with experience in customer relations, selling, and managing/training sales team.

Qualifications:

Industry experience direct with electrical components, batteries, manufacturing, distribution or sourcing overseas is desired.
